This is probably the easiest lasagna recipe known to man, I'll give you the basic recipe and the suped up versions of it. Thing is, most people who have eaten it, have always preffered the simple version. Now the basic version is tomato sauce, either your own or even in a jar will do (whenever I use the jarred one, I add sauted garlic, onions and spices to it to help it along), a pot of cottage cheese, the pasta and mozzarella. If you want veggies but want your kids to eat it, you can make you own pasta sauce with onions, carrots, celeri and whatever else you like and then pass in the the blender on pulse they won't know what hit them! If you want to make a nice vegetarian version, you can add a layer of spinach, sauted mushrooms, zuchinnis, softened onions and tomato slices, instead of the cottage you can use Ricotta. Anyway, this is what you'll need for the basic recipe, you can add in whatever you like:This makes 1 large rectangular Pyrex
11/2 tub cottage cheese
2 jars or large cans of pasta sauce or homemade
1 bag of shredded kosher Mozzarella or a ball of shredded Mozzarella
1 box lasagna
On the bottom of Pyrex, ladle some sauce (I mix the sauce with the cottage cheese), then one layer of noodles, the one layer of sauce then one layer cheese and repeat (if you'll be using vegetables, just layer them with the sauce the cover with cheese).
When down to the last layer, do not add cheese. Cover with foil and back in the oven at 350 till the house smells delicious (about 35 to 40 min) then uncover add cheese and broil till bubbly and golden, wait 15 min to cool and serve.
